Jeremy Lin

Typical stereotypes about Caucasians being superior to Asians have been around for ages, but thanks to basketball’s newest star, this stereotype is slowly changing. This video also shows that, by using the right technique, and through hard work, one is on the path to success. Lin for the win!

Personally, I feel that there should be no stereotypes regarding athletes, particularly in basketball. I am a big basketball fan and I have been noticing over the few years that only the black players have been getting recognitions, such as Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and Dwayne Wade. But now, Jeremy Lin is the most famous player in the US.

We apply the concepts of cognitive schemata here: person prototypes are used to analyse that Jeremy Lin is a basketball player. Personal constructs of Jeremy Lin are that he is a hardworking and dedicated player. Without hard work, good personality, success and dedication, Jeremy Lin would not be the well-respected basketball player like he is today.
